Helpful Tip: After installing TiVo Desktop software make sure you restart your TiVo media device and your computer before you start using the program.

Mac Users also need to install third party software called Roxio® Toast 10 Titanium to take full advantage of the Home Networking Package. At this time TiVo Desktop for Mac only supports streaming of photos and music. If you would like to use TiVo Desktop for PC with more than one PC in your home, you will need to purchase an additional TiVo Desktop Plus Key through the Online Shop www.tivo.com.au/shop

* Video on Demand

Coming this March, Blockbuster will be launching a full Video On Demand service to replace the current Blockbuster Movie of the Week. You?ll have access to a full library of films that can be downloaded via broadband directly to a TiVo media device. Keep visiting the website for more details as they become available.

Don?t be fooled by the name change: Music, Photos, Products and More still offers great applications and services under a new name. Look forward to more additions to this function coming soon!

Now Playing improvements

When viewing your Now Playing List with groups turned on, select a folder to watch all the content back to back. TiVo will begin with the oldest episodes first and work forward. You can also delete all items in a folder with one simple action, rather than having to individually delete unwanted programs.

Review your ratings of shows using thumbs

A new (read only) screen will be available for you to review and change your thumb ratings. To display a list of all programs that you have rated, select Find Programs & Downloads, then TiVo Suggestions. Press ENTER to bring up the Review Thumbs screen. Then, highlight a program and use the THUMBS UP and THUMBS DOWN buttons on your remote to change its rating.

The Electronic Program Guide (EPG) is even more user friendly

Now you will be able to display the EPG even when playing back a recording, whereas previously you would have had to exit your recording to check the guide. Press GUIDE button on your remote to see this new feature.

Work your way into the future with ease, with the new 24 hour jump function. The EPG will now jump forward in 24 hour time blocks to make it quick and easy to check out shows for the next day. Press GUIDE to display the programme guide. While viewing the Guide you can press FORWARD to move the displayed item ahead. To go back in time, press BACK . Press ADVANCE to jump 24 hours ahead; press INSTANT REPLAY to jump 24 hours back. Use the UP, DOWN, LEFT and RIGHT arrows to highlight a programme title.

Did you know that you can change the view type of your Electronic Program Guide (EPG)?

How?

1. Press "guide" on your TiVo remote.
2. Press the "enter" button for guide options.
3. Using the directional pad, scroll to the "style" option.
4. Select "Grid Guide"

Scroll to the top and select "finished changing options".

If your TiVo box ever gets stuck in re-boot, follow these instructions.

During the TiVo® Video (when the box is rebooting) press the TiVo® button on the remote control then follow these steps:

Step 1
Select - Messages & Settings > Settings > Network > Connect to the TiVo® service now

This will download the latest code, including the fix. You then need to verify that the box is Pending Restart.

Step 2
Press the TiVo button > Messages & Settings > Settings > Network (Last Status: Pending Restart)

Step 3
Press the TiVo button > Messages & Settings > Restart or Reset System > Restart the TiVo® media device

The whole process should take between 10-20 minutes.
